Senior Corporate Counsel - Employment (Employment Law)

Location: Remote within the United States; employees in the Denver, Colorado metro area must work hybrid, three days per week in the Denver corporate headquarters.

Estimated base salary: $112,800–$173,600 USD annually.

What you will do

• Advise Human Resources, executives, and business stakeholders on employment law matters, including hiring, employee relations, accommodations, leave, wage and hour compliance, restructurings, and terminations.
• Monitor federal, state, and local employment regulations and draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements.
• Support executive compensation, incentive and equity programs, labor relations, collective bargaining, and union matters.
• Conduct or oversee sensitive workplace investigations and develop employment policies, handbook provisions, compliance programs, and legal training.
• Manage employment-related pre-litigation, litigation, agency inquiries, subpoenas, and regulatory matters globally.
• Develop litigation strategy, direct outside counsel, lead discovery, and support mediation, settlement, and other dispute resolution processes.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Experience managing employment litigation, administrative agency matters, and workplace investigations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, writing, editing, presentation, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Colorado State Bar.
• Six to ten years of legal experience focused on employment law.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
