IT Systems Engineer

Location: Boulder, Colorado, onsite. Local candidates preferred. Applicants must indicate their eligibility to work in the United States and whether they will require visa sponsorship.

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 base compensation, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain servers, storage, virtualization, networks, Microsoft Azure infrastructure, and enterprise applications.
• Administer Microsoft Entra identity and access management, including conditional access, multifactor authentication, and joiner/mover/leaver processes.
• Manage Windows and macOS endpoints through Microsoft Intune and JAMF, including enrollment, compliance, configuration, and application deployment.
• Operate security systems, monitor and respond to alerts, and manage patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Design and test disaster recovery, backup, redundancy, and business continuity solutions, including RTO and RPO validation.
• Provide technical guidance to service desk staff, coordinate with global teams, maintain documentation, and escalate risks and incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience with an Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, and macOS endpoint management through JAMF.
• Advanced network infrastructure skills covering routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and network protocols.
• Experience administering Windows servers and core services including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash automation, as well as disaster recovery, backup verification, and business continuity planning.
• Strong documentation, risk management, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• ITIL and IT service management experience.
• Knowledge of ISO, NIST, POPIA, GDPR, or HIPAA requirements.
• Computer Systems Validation experience in manufacturing environments.
• Microsoft role-based or JAMF certifications.
• Experience in multinational or corporate environments.
