What you will do
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
- Analyze DHS legacy operational workflows and translate mission-critical functionality into modern platform-based architecture.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle within agile and CI/CD environments.
- Implement unit tests, remediate SonarQube findings, and maintain technical and user-support documentation.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, cloud deployments, and infrastructure using Jenkins or CloudBees, Git, Terraform, Ansible, and AWS.
- Resolve application issues and periodically assist with Help Desk troubleshooting for end users.
Requirements
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance are required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of application or Java development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, MVC architecture, and JDBC.
- Experience with React, Angular, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, Node, Struts 2, Maven, and jQuery.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, AWS, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, microservices, containerization, and Windows/Linux environments.
Nice to have
- Current DHS Public Trust Suitability.
- Familiarity with MQ or Kafka messaging, AppDynamics, and Datadog.
- Prior Palantir experience is not required; training and certification are provided.
