What you will do

• Teach three semester credit hours per 7-week term in a fully online competency-based education format.
• Support courses in Early Childhood Education, Reading, or Elementary Education.
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Facilitate courses using the standard syllabus provided by the Undergraduate Department Head.
• Prepare and evaluate course assignments and examinations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Reading, Bilingual Education, or a closely related field.
• At least 18 graduate hours at the master’s level in Curriculum & Instruction, Early Childhood Education, or Reading.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, multitasking ability, and the ability to work cooperatively with minimal supervision.
• Availability for work after business hours and on weekends.
• Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history check.

Nice to have

• Current relevant professional credentials.
• College or university teaching experience.
• Graduate coursework in Special Education or Reading/Literacy.
• Evidence of teaching excellence.
• Online or hybrid teaching experience.
