Adjunct Faculty - Public Health

Location: Commerce, Texas. Instruction may be delivered on-campus, off-campus, or online during daytime and/or evening hours based on student demand and departmental needs.

East Texas A&M University’s Department of Health and Human Performance offers teaching appointments in its Public Health program.

What you will do

• Teach up to two Public Health courses per semester.
• Develop and manage course syllabi in line with department and college standards.
• Prepare lectures, in-class discussions, assignments, and examinations.
• Assess student participation and academic performance.
• Assist and mentor students as needed.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field for teaching undergraduate courses.
• Terminal degree in the field or a closely related discipline for teaching graduate courses.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Successful completion of credential verification and a criminal history investigation.

Nice to have

• Current relevant professional credentials.
• College or university teaching experience and evidence of teaching excellence.
• Prior relevant industry experience.
• Online or hybrid teaching experience.
