Associate Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical Testing)

What you will do

• Support test equipment, laboratory setups, and product testing according to established procedures.
• Prepare data acquisition devices to record mechanical, electrical, and environmental measurements.
• Design, build, implement, and document electrical and mechanical test fixtures.
• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and improve laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Document test data, maintain test records, and update laboratory policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and service providers while supporting audits, 5S programs, and developing staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 15 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of relevant experience with an associate degree in a related field.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, electrical and mechanical test equipment, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and test documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical techniques, AC and DC generation systems, instrumentation, testing, quality concepts, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work extended or non-standard hours when necessary and handle multiple projects.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Experience with thermocouples, pressure sensors, other sensors, and data acquisition systems.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engine assemblies, electrical generation devices, ISO 17025, or electrical and mechanical design.
• Experience with welding, sheet-metal shaping, electrical loading, or AC and DC power generation systems.
• Project leadership experience in a team-based environment.
