Senior Electrical Test Engineer (Switchgear)

Location: Onsite Monday-Friday at 200 Twin Oaks Road, Kohler, WI 53044. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new or transferred visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $89,800.00-$114,100.00 per year.

What you will do

• Lead factory acceptance testing of low- and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies before shipment.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and checklists based on engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Perform electrical and functional testing, including continuity and control circuit verification.
• Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects and non-conformances, partnering with engineering and production on corrective actions.
• Review schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and layout drawings; prepare test reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.
• Support production and customer witness testing, maintain and calibrate test equipment, and participate in continuous improvement and special projects.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in electrical testing within power systems or switchgear manufacturing environments.
• At least 4 years of electrical troubleshooting and analytical experience.
• At least 4 years of experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience with multimeters, insulation testers, relay test sets, and motor/generator test equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution systems, and protection schemes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday in Kohler, Wisconsin.
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring new or transferred visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
