Controls Engineer II (Automation)

Location: Middletown, Iowa, United States — full-time onsite at the company office or work site.

Salary: $76,080–$114,120 per year

What you will do

• Design, troubleshoot, program, and document automated equipment and control solutions.
• Specify, build, and maintain user-friendly control systems and equipment with process owners.
• Improve production-line uptime and throughput while reducing downtime and scrap through automation.
• Identify root causes in production processes and equipment and improve the use of existing tools.
• Provide technical controls support across the installation and direct maintenance personnel and outside services.
• Manage projects within a limited scope.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related field; electrical, computer, or automation engineering focus preferred.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience.
• Required experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
• Ability to specify and build control systems and integrate multiple systems and platforms.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and NESC; strong mechanical aptitude and logical problem-solving skills.
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or federally compliant current passport, successful background screening, and ability to work onsite are required.
