What you will do

• Lead and expand the Precision Nutrition research portfolio and align it with Responsive Agriculture and Healthy Living.
• Advance research on dietary exposures, metabolism, exercise, genomics, epigenetics, microbiome, immunity, and related health outcomes.
• Connect preclinical discoveries with human biomarkers and translate mechanistic findings into dietary strategies and agricultural innovations.
• Build interdisciplinary teams across nutrition, agriculture, engineering, public health, and clinical sciences.
• Develop partnerships with federal agencies, industry, and academic institutions while leading large-scale grants and initiatives.
• Mentor graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty, and represent the institute in national scientific organizations and advisory activities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Nutrition, Nutritional Sciences, or a related field.
• Established record of high-impact publications in leading nutrition and clinical journals.
• Sustained record of extramural funding from NIH, USDA, or an equivalent source.
• Demonstrated leadership in interdisciplinary research and program development.
• Strong commitment to collaboration and team science.
• Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history investigation.

Nice to have

• Expertise in human clinical nutrition or modern precision nutrition approaches.
• Registered Dietitian credentials or equivalent clinical experience.
• Experience leading large-scale collaborative initiatives and translating research into practice, policy, or food and agricultural systems.
• Leadership experience in national or international scientific organizations.
