Multiskilled Apprentice (Manufacturing)

Location: Manchester Plant in Trafford Park, UK; on-site work required. The apprenticeship includes college attendance one day per week and site work during college holidays. Day and night shifts, weekends, and 12.5-hour shift patterns may be required.

Salary: £21,084.44 per year, with shift pay included when applicable.

P&G operates a highly automated Manchester production facility supplying Pampers and other household and personal care products across the UK and Northern Europe.

What you will do

• Work with mechanical and electrical equipment and automated control systems.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding, and diagnosis.
• Rotate across production lines, Rebuild, Utilities, and Palletisation departments.
• Apply problem-solving techniques using plans, drawings, and technical data.
• Support continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence initiatives.
• Follow safety, quality, internal control, and legislative requirements while minimizing downtime.

Requirements

• Minimum of four GCSEs or equivalent at grade 4/C or above, including Maths, Science, and English.
• Interest in manufacturing and associated processes.
• Commitment to learning new engineering skills and developing professionally.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate proactively with colleagues.
• Willingness to work day, night, and weekend shifts.
• Continuous, non-time-limited right to work in the UK from the first day of employment without sponsorship is required.
