TL;DR
Compliance Engineer (AI): Building and owning technical controls, automated evidence collection, and compliance systems for an AI voice platform with an accent on SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and enterprise security requirements. Focus on automating access reviews and security checks, supporting audits, and solving cross-functional infrastructure and compliance challenges.
Location: Remote; San Francisco Bay Area, Argentina, Brazil, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Serbia, South Africa, or Ukraine. Must be open to working some overlapping hours with the Pacific Time team and customers.
Compensation: $6,000–$7,500 USD per month, based on experience.

What you will do
- Build and maintain technical controls for SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and other enterprise security requirements.
- Automate compliance workflows, evidence collection, access reviews, security checks, and repetitive processes.
- Partner with Engineering and Security to implement and monitor access management, infrastructure, data protection, logging, and vulnerability management controls.
- Own technical evidence collection and support audits by addressing compliance requirements with auditors.
- Respond to customer security questionnaires, compliance requirements, and technical due diligence requests.
- Identify compliance and security gaps and build scalable systems to address them.
Requirements
- Technical background in software engineering, security, infrastructure, IT, or a related field.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash, or a similar language.
- Understanding of IAM, encryption, networking, logging, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
- Ability to learn security and compliance frameworks and turn requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate across Engineering, Security, Legal, and customer-facing teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or other compliance frameworks.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, Vanta, Drata, Wiz, Okta, or similar tools.
