Security Engineer (AI): Protecting products, cloud infrastructure, and data by identifying and fixing vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and integrating security controls into the SDLC with an accent on AWS hardening, secure backend development, and compliance readiness. Focus on closing security tickets end to end, reviewing code and infrastructure changes, and defending against attacks in real time.
Location: Remote-first; offices in Warsaw and Kyiv

What you will do
- Identify, prioritize, and fix vulnerabilities across products and cloud infrastructure.
- Respond to security incidents and help defend against attacks in real time.
- Handle security tickets end to end, from investigation through code or infrastructure fixes.
- Integrate security checks and tooling into the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
- Review code and infrastructure changes from a security perspective.
- Implement security controls and collect evidence for SOC 2 and CASA compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience and the ability to work independently.
- 2+ years of hands-on security experience in a Security Engineer, Security/DevOps, or Platform role.
- Backend development experience with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#/.NET, Go, or Rust.
- Strong practical experience with DevOps, AWS, cloud infrastructure, vulnerability remediation, OWASP Top 10, cloud misconfigurations, and dependency issues.
- Experience handling security incidents and working with access management, secrets, and infrastructure hardening.
- English at Upper-Intermediate (B2+) level or higher and fluent Ukrainian are required.
Nice to have
- A career path from backend development through DevOps or Platform into Security.
- AWS Security Specialty or similar security certification.
- Experience preparing for SOC 2, ISO 27001, or CASA audits.
- Understanding of GDPR and/or CCPA/CPRA requirements.
