Painter - 3rd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Kewaunee, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, 3rd shift Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM

Salary: $26.75 per hour starting rate, plus a $1.00 per hour premium for the 3rd shift

What you will do

• Prepare substrates and verify customer coating and surface preparation requirements.
• Mix and apply coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
• Monitor coating thickness, drying and curing times, and finish quality.
• Adjust paint and process parameters based on humidity, temperature, and other anomalies.
• Repair or blend coating defects, including runs, sags, and thin spots.
• Clean and maintain painting and mixing equipment, grounding systems, and air filtration systems.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and write.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
• Ability to frequently lift or carry up to 35 lbs and occasionally lift 65–70 lb paint pails; lifting devices are available.
• Must pass a physical exam required for respirator use.
• Must be able to enter confined spaces as required.
• Ability to complete paperwork, quality documentation, self-inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or technical school training.
• One to three years of painting experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience.
