Patient Service Representative - Float Pool - Per Diem (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Greet and register patients and notify medical staff of arrivals.
• Verify patient addresses and insurance information.
• Schedule primary care, referral, specialist, hospital testing, laboratory, follow-up, and specialty appointments.
• Complete prior authorizations according to insurance requirements.
• Check patients out, collect payments, and enter charges using appropriate diagnostic and CPT coding.
• Maintain provider schedules and recommend improvements to registration and administrative processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous healthcare-setting experience performing similar functions preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Certification or licensure is not required.
