Patient Access Specialist - Sheboygan Part Time

Location: Onsite at HSHS - St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, Wisconsin; candidates must reside and be authorized to work in the United States. Part-time schedule: 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, including holidays.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform admitting, pre-registration, and patient access duties for hospital services.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, verify insurance eligibility, process physician orders, and collect required demographic and financial information.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute and document Medicare, TRICARE, observation, consent, and other required forms.
• Explain treatment consent forms, obtain signatures and witness information, and provide patient education materials.
• Conduct account audits, maintain accurate documentation, and provide statistical data to Patient Access leadership.
• Operate the telephone switchboard and provide compassionate customer service while meeting point-of-service and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to work onsite at HSHS - St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
• Must reside and be authorized to work within the United States.
• Ability to work the specified weekend and holiday shift.
• HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification required within 9 months of hire.
