Senior DevSecOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Lead threat modeling assessments for new features across AWS services and guide secure application design.
• Build and maintain SAST, DAST, and SCA security testing frameworks in CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and manage security guardrails for AWS environments, Kubernetes clusters, Docker containers, and infrastructure-as-code deployments.
• Implement policy-as-code and automated compliance controls for ISO 27001, SOC 2, and TX-RAMP requirements.
• Evaluate AI-assisted tools for code review, log analysis, and vulnerability triage, while defining secure usage guidelines for developer AI tools.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor developers on secure coding and vulnerability remediation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering, DevSecOps, software development, or cloud infrastructure security.
• Hands-on experience securing multi-account AWS environments and infrastructure-as-code deployments, including IAM, encryption, Network Security, Security Hub, and GuardDuty.
• Strong experience integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines and writing automation scripts in Python or Bash.
• Experience with Docker or ECS/Fargate, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Proven ability to execute threat modeling, address OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and translate compliance requirements into automated engineering checks.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools and experience securing AI systems, AI supply chains, or AI-assisted workflows.

Nice to have

• CISSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist certification.
• Experience securing video streaming architectures or high-scale backend services.
• Experience implementing policy-as-code frameworks in regulated SaaS environments.
