Production Manager (Food Ingredients)

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing, production, packaging, quality, customer service, and cost performance.
• Coach and develop supervisors, unit leaders, and production teams while building succession readiness.
• Set performance expectations and drive accountability through coaching, recognition, development planning, and corrective action.
• Ensure safety, food safety, quality, compliance, sanitation, and environmental standards are embedded in operational decisions.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce risk.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, yield, throughput, efficiency, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in food, ingredients, chemical, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• At least 6 years of leadership experience managing production teams in manufacturing.
• Experience leading large operational teams, developing frontline leaders, and building accountable, high-performance cultures.
• Knowledge of food safety, quality systems, HACCP, GMP, Process Safety Management, Management of Change, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing operational budgets, costs, productivity initiatives, performance metrics, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or comparable continuous improvement certification.
• Experience leading culture transformation initiatives focused on accountability, engagement, ownership, teamwork, and operational excellence.
