Production Manager (Food Ingredients)

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing, production, packaging, quality, customer service, and cost performance.
• Coach and develop supervisors, unit leaders, and production teams while building accountability and succession readiness.
• Maintain strong standards for safety, food safety, quality, compliance, sanitation, and environmental performance.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and operational reliability improvements.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives targeting productivity, yield, throughput, efficiency, and cost.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Environmental Health and Safety teams to solve operational challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in food, ingredients, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• At least 6 years of leadership experience managing manufacturing production teams.
• Experience leading large operational teams, developing supervisors and frontline leaders, and building accountable, high-performance cultures.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP, Process Safety Management, Management of Change, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement methods.
• Experience managing operational budgets, manufacturing costs, productivity initiatives, and performance metrics.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or comparable continuous improvement certification.
• Experience leading culture transformation initiatives focused on accountability, engagement, ownership, teamwork, and operational excellence.
