Robotic Field Engineer I (Robotics)

Location: Seattle, WA; travel up to 80% to customer sites and hirify.global’ US offices

Salary: $79,000–$97,000 per year plus a discretionary annual performance bonus

What you will do

• Install, configure, commission, and test robots at customer sites.
• Integrate robots into customer workflows and train end users on operation, upkeep, and troubleshooting.
• Respond to support requests, diagnose issues, escalate complex cases, and perform root cause analysis.
• Complete Level 1 repairs and routine maintenance, including software updates, hardware inspections, and component replacements.
• Monitor deployed robot performance and recommend operational improvements.
• Maintain CRM records, track assets, document sites, and provide customer feedback to internal product teams.

Requirements

• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced and sometimes stressful environments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability standards.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Slack.
• Associate’s degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on technical field service experience.
• Ability to travel up to 80%, work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation one weekend per month.

Nice to have

• Ability to read and occasionally edit code.
• Experience with Linux Terminal, customer-facing technical support, or restaurant and hospitality operations.
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, robotics engineering, or a related discipline.
