Senior Equipment Engineering Technician (N2 Shift) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Essex Junction, United States; onsite at the Fab 9 semiconductor manufacturing facility

Salary: $48,200–$83,200 per year

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, improve, and test semiconductor manufacturing equipment for production readiness.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues using mechanical, electronic, and computer skills.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions, document events, and complete end-of-shift handoffs.
• Collaborate with production team members, area engineers, and lead technicians while prioritizing daily work.
• Follow Fab 9 environmental, health, safety, and security requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one of the following: a two-year technical degree plus four years of relevant experience; two years of relevant military experience plus four years of relevant experience; or six years of relevant electrical or mechanical experience.
• Written and verbal English fluency required.
• Basic reading, writing, computer navigation, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom environment and wear required cleanroom clothing and PPE.
• Ability to work flexible alternating day or night shifts, including 12-hour shifts. Minimal travel is required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology, military service, or a trade.
• Four or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience with statistical process control, schematics, blueprints, electrical diagrams, hand tools, and structured problem-solving.
• Project management, planning, organizational, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
