Location: Lyndhurst, VA, USA. The role includes occasional customer energy audits, facility walkthroughs, equipment inspections, and work in industrial sites, loud mechanical rooms, and cold storage areas with appropriate PPE.
Salary: $75,000–$100,000 per year

provides custom-engineered industrial refrigeration and process cooling solutions using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, with in-house engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and aftermarket support.
What you will do
- Develop energy models and analyze new and existing refrigeration systems to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Evaluate system performance data, identify deficiencies, and recommend practical, cost-effective improvements.
- Support the development and implementation of energy conservation measures and energy-efficient system designs.
- Advise customers on energy best practices and deliver energy-efficiency training.
- Conduct occasional site assessments, facility walkthroughs, and equipment inspections.
- Prepare performance reports, utility rebate documentation, and regulatory compliance materials while monitoring relevant energy codes and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret system performance data.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and technical software tools.
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods and occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in industrial environments, including loud mechanical rooms and cold storage areas, using appropriate PPE.
Nice to have
- Interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, or industrial system optimization.
- Familiarity with industrial refrigeration or HVAC systems.
- Experience with ENERGY STAR tools, utility benchmarking, or energy reporting.
- Knowledge of energy codes, regulatory requirements, or sustainability reporting.
- PE, CEM, or similar professional certification.
