Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; onsite third-shift production role. Up to 20% travel required.

What you will do

• Lead third-shift production operations across safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Develop and execute production plans aligned with operational and corporate goals.
• Coach and develop supervisors, engineers, and technical staff while managing staffing, training, evaluations, and workforce planning.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, standardized work, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Partner with supply chain, purchasing, plant leadership, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support new product development, production launches, departmental budgets, and capital equipment planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of manufacturing management experience and demonstrated production or manufacturing leadership.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across departments.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with welding, paint, or assembly manufacturing processes.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma certification.
