Associate Integration and Automation Engineer

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and validate integration and automation features for power system products.
• Implement and verify communication protocols, automation functions, and system integrations.
• Create and execute test plans, simulations, and laboratory evaluations for functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Investigate customer-reported communication, integration, and automation issues and document findings.
• Support real-time simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and system-level validation.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams on engineering solutions.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to learn new technologies, assume new responsibilities, and work professionally with internal and external customers.
• Working knowledge of power systems, communications, controls, automation, or related technologies is beneficial.

Nice to have

• M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with SEL products and protocols, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850 GOOSE, sampled values, PRP, HSR, IEEE 1588 PTP, IRIG-B, or SNTP.
• PLC programming using IEC-61131-3.
• Knowledge of digital signal processing, digital control systems, power system protection, real-time simulation, HIL systems, or OT communication architectures.
