Azure Cyber Security Specialist (Azure)

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, review, and maintain USMC and DoD RMF packages, including SSPs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, and continuous monitoring documentation.
• Implement, validate, and document STIGs, SRGs, and other DoD security configuration requirements across Azure environments.
• Coordinate ATO activities and maintain required evidence, artifacts, and controls throughout the system lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers, architects, developers, government cybersecurity teams, program managers, and system owners.
• Manage Azure identity and access management, network security, logging, monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability remediation.
• Conduct security assessments, gap analyses, and risk evaluations while advising on Azure security architecture and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or at least 5 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Hands-on experience with USMC or DoD ATO processes, RMF workflows, and compliance documentation.
• Experience implementing and validating STIGs, SRGs, POA&Ms, SSPs, and other RMF artifacts.
• Strong knowledge of Azure security services, including Azure AD, Defender, Security Center, Key Vault, network security groups, and logging and monitoring tools.
• Experience with vulnerability management, secure configuration, cloud infrastructure security, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.

Nice to have

• DoD 8570/8140 certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CCSP.
• Microsoft Azure security certifications such as AZ-500 or SC-100.
• Experience with Azure Government or IL4/IL5 workloads.
• Incident response, cloud threat detection, or eMASS experience.
