Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (DoD)

Location: Primarily remote supporting the Seattle, Washington area; approximately 10% travel to Boeing San Antonio, Tinker AFB, Hanscom AFB, and occasional overseas travel including Japan. US citizenship required.

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Support DoD and Air Force cybersecurity compliance throughout system and application lifecycles.
• Conduct Risk Management Framework activities, including Assessment & Authorization, Authority to Operate, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans, Program Protection Plans, security risk analyses, OPSEC plans, and related documentation.
• Perform cybersecurity testing, vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, patch tracking, and security control reviews.
• Support PKI, access control, Lab Authority to Connect, Cross Domain Solution, and DISA STIG activities.
• Collaborate with government, Boeing, and contractor teams on design reviews, audits, incident response, acquisition security, and program milestones.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance required and must be maintainable.
• US citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD, or 15 years of directly related experience, including 8 years in the DoD.
• Experience with RMF, Assessment & Authorization, ATO, cybersecurity compliance, testing, vulnerability assessment, and risk analysis.
• Knowledge of DISA STIG implementation, PKI, Cross Domain Solutions, Lab ATC, DevSecOps, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Strong communication, analytical, documentation, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
