AR Accounting Specialist

Location: Onsite at the Melrose Park, Illinois facility, United States

What you will do

• Manage full-cycle accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, balance tracking, collections, and account maintenance.
• Reconcile payments, credits, adjustments, and receivable records while investigating and resolving billing discrepancies.
• Prepare customer aging reports, analyze account trends, and support accurate financial reporting.
• Provide additional accounting support, including journal entries, general ledger activities, accounts payable assistance, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Use Excel formulas and data analysis to generate reports and improve receivables management efficiency.
• Respond to customer billing and account-status inquiries by phone and email while collaborating with customer service and internal accounting teams.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or general accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
• Strong Excel spreadsheet analysis, data entry, account maintenance, and financial recordkeeping skills.
• Experience with account reconciliation, account analysis, debits and credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work onsite at the Melrose Park, Illinois facility.
