Staff Accountant

Location: Edgewood, Maryland, USA; full-time onsite position.

Salary: $62,700–$103,510 per year, plus a competitive Business Profit Plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Maintain, reconcile, and analyze assigned general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Lead financial reporting and accounting activities for subsidiary companies in accordance with corporate policies and GAAP.
• Process journal entries and account adjustments while collaborating with the Financial Services Department.
• Support treasury activities, including cash management, account analysis, and related reporting.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Support the internal controls framework and maintain general ledger control documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP is preferred.
• Intermediate or advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and deadline-management skills with attention to detail.
