Project Manager - Emissions Testing (Environmental)

Location: Bakersfield, California, with field work across Southern California and travel of 50–75%. Relocation assistance and/or a signing bonus may be available.

Salary: USD $75,000–$130,000 per year, plus potential eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead, manage, and mentor field emissions testing teams.
• Perform and manage stationary-source emissions tests in Southern California and other locations.
• Prepare proposals, test protocols, and technical reports.
• Manage project financials, invoicing, change orders, and project documentation.
• Retain clients and help grow annual net service revenue.
• Act as a customer-facing subject matter expert for hirify.global.

Requirements

• At least two years of stationary-source emissions testing experience and familiarity with EPA test methods.
• Current SES Qualified Individual certification in exam Groups I and III.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50–75%.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions and hoist equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, ability to obtain DOT certification, and successful completion of initial and periodic random drug screenings.

Nice to have

• Existing DOT certification.
• SES Qualified Individual certification in Groups I, II, III, and IV.
• Experience with SCAQMD methodology and rules.
• Experience managing $500,000 or more in annual client revenue.
• Experience with manual and continuous emissions sampling, including flow, moisture, particulates, metals, ammonia, VOCs, O2, CO2, NOx, SO2, CO, and THC.
