Engineering Intern (Embedded Hardware/Firmware)

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States; onsite position

Pay: $24.25–$33.00 hourly

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineering teams to solve real-world technical problems.
• Assist with the design, development, and debugging of embedded hardware or firmware.
• Contribute to projects improving engineering efficiency and capabilities.
• Document findings, participate in technical discussions, and present project outcomes.
• Learn through mentorship and practical engineering application.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, depending on the hardware or firmware track.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, and Python for firmware candidates.
• Interest in systems-level engineering and hardware/firmware integration.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, self-learning, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Hardware candidates should understand analog and digital circuits and electronics laboratory test equipment.
• Firmware candidates should have experience with microcontrollers, debugging tools, or embedded development environments.

Nice to have

• Research or project experience with memory components, microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, or digital signal processors.
