Intern-Engineering (Applications)

What you will do

• Support SAS/SATA/NVMe protocols, RAID controller embedded firmware, operating system drivers, and management software.
• Assist with PCIe, security, and encryption technologies, including code updates.
• Support customer and ODM requirements, design-win activities, deliverables, and initial system bring-up.
• Set up and maintain system compatibility and debugging labs, and analyze and reproduce customer system issues.
• Support channel customers, ecosystem partners, and distribution teams while maintaining the knowledge base and issue-tracking database.
• Develop and review user guides, release notes, technical training materials, and application notes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Coursework, academic projects, or internship experience in applications or software development.
• Basic understanding of computer architecture.
• Scripting or automation knowledge using Python, Java, Tcl, or another language.
• Software programming experience in Java and C, plus experience installing Linux and Windows operating systems and configuring hardware and drivers.
• Good writing and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Driver development or embedded firmware development experience.
• Java NetBeans or Tcl/Tk scripting experience.
• Familiarity with NVMe, SAS/SATA, SCSI, TCP/IP, high-speed design, and signal integrity concepts.
• Board-level debugging and bring-up experience.
