Water Resources Engineering Design Project Manager

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work

What you will do

• Lead and manage stormwater management, flood mitigation, and drainage improvement projects for municipal and regional clients.
• Oversee the design and analysis of detention and retention basins, open channels, and storm drain networks.
• Prepare and review preliminary engineering reports, design plans, technical specifications, construction documents, and project cost estimates.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, quality control, and client communications.
• Support permitting and coordinate with regulatory agencies and local jurisdictions.
• Oversee teams of professionals and CAD designers while working independently.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in stormwater management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable engineering or applied science discipline.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with stormwater and H&H modeling software, including ICPR/Stormwise, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS ArcMap, and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of HEC-RAS steady, unsteady-flow, and two-dimensional modeling is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with InfoWorks ICM, XP-SWMM, ICPR 4, and ArcGIS Pro.
• CFM certification or experience with floodplain management practices.
• Knowledge of FEMA RiskMAP, flood risk analysis and mapping standards, preliminary and post-preliminary processing, and the Mapping Information Platform.
• Local experience or client relationships in northeast and southwest Florida, including familiarity with FDEP and WMD criteria and permitting.
