Water Resources Engineer, PE

Location: Columbus, OH, United States. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, analysis, design, calculations, and delivery of water resources and stormwater engineering projects.
• Conduct and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for watersheds, streams, rivers, culverts, bridges, and stormwater systems.
• Prepare flood risk assessments, drainage studies, watershed master plans, flood mitigation strategies, and FEMA floodplain mapping documentation.
• Design stormwater management systems, including detention, retention, conveyance, green infrastructure, and low-impact development solutions.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, quality control, client communications, proposals, and agency coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff and support client meetings and field assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 4–8 years of experience in water resources engineering, stormwater management, and floodplain management.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD and HEC-RAS.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS platforms.
• Strong technical report writing skills and authorization to work in the United States.

• Master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on water resources.
