Advanced Ground Test Engineer

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; on-site work at Redstone Arsenal and deployed locations as required.

What you will do

• Support lab-based and deployed ground testing for the Missile Defense System within the Theater-Based Defense Mobile Land-Based Sensors Directorate.
• Support testing of AN/TPY-2 and additional radars added to the portfolio.
• Contribute to test requirements, development, planning, execution, observation, analysis, and reporting.
• Provide support for radar flight tests and on-site assistance at deployed locations.
• Coordinate with MDA test organizations, sensor program office personnel, subject matter experts, and senior government leadership.
• Communicate technical information and make timely decisions and recommendations in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, research analysis, program management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience with a strong technical background and understanding of systems engineering or program management.
• Experience in the Missile Defense Agency Missile Defense System ground test environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–20%.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• Current knowledge of MDA Missile Defense System characteristics, design, performance, and testing.
• Military experience or experience coordinating within the military community.
• Ability to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical audiences and senior leadership.
