Electrical Systems Engineer (Power Generation)

Salary: $83,300–$105,200 per year

What you will do

• Lead or support the implementation of electrical components and electronic systems on industrial generator platforms.
• Design and execute validation and verification tests, specifications, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on electrical and controls system development.
• Troubleshoot product failures and work with suppliers on root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Recommend product improvements and develop special electronics systems for testing.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD analysts and contribute to design reviews, FMEA, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, electronic systems, new product development, or sustaining product development.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry, microprocessor-based controls, electrical system troubleshooting, and product validation.
• Ability to develop product specifications and deliver project work on time, within cost, and to quality requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new or transferred visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• General knowledge of National Electrical Code standards is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with MATLAB, PSPICE, Simulink, OrCAD, C, C++, or Python.
• Knowledge of NEC standards.
