Hardware Engineering Technician I (Electronics)

Salary: $32.00–$48.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform basic electronic hardware tests according to engineering procedures under the direction of engineers or experienced technicians.
• Build engineering prototypes and assemble test fixtures, load banks, and other product-development components.
• Document prototype construction and maintain engineering records.
• Assist engineers in evaluating new electronic components and provide engineering staff support.
• Process modest-complexity Engineering Change Orders under supervision.

Requirements

• Two-year associate degree in electronic technology or a related field.
• Working knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
• Familiarity with modern test equipment.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with C and assembly languages.
• Experience with operating systems and computer equipment.
• Practical knowledge of three-phase power systems.
