Associate, Debt Capital Markets - Investment Grade (Fintech)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work model with in-office and work-from-home flexibility

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 base salary annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus.

ING’s Wholesale Banking division provides financial products and services to corporate and institutional clients through its global capital markets network.

What you will do

• Support Debt Capital Markets coverage across sectors, with a primary focus on US investment grade corporates.
• Assist senior originators with business development, origination, structuring, and execution of bond transactions.
• Lead the preparation of pitch materials, transaction documentation, due diligence, roadshow logistics, bookbuilding, and orderbook analysis.
• Coordinate multi-currency pricing updates with syndicate desks and lead internal syndicate discussions.
• Prepare fixed-income market digests, identify market opportunities, and support liability management, debt capacity, liquidity, hybrid bond, and ESG-labelled offerings.
• Coordinate with coverage teams, global DCM departments, syndicate, credit research, and corporate sales while overseeing junior team members and training new joiners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
• Prior experience and a track record in the US capital markets industry.
• Experience independently originating, structuring, and executing large, complex investment grade bond transactions.
• Knowledge of corporate finance, valuation, accounting, international credit markets, rates markets, and the global economy.
• Strong client relationship, presentation, sales, communication, Microsoft Office, and Bloomberg skills.
