Facilities Maintenance Electrician

Location: Onsite at 6635 Kirkville Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057, United States

Salary: $68,442–$114,070 annually, with a potential annual or quarterly bonus and possible shift premium.

What you will do

• Install and modify facility equipment and systems according to manufacturer specifications and testing procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform corrective repairs across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, plant air, and facility systems.
• Establish and perform preventative maintenance schedules, inspections, and equipment repair activities.
• Maintain databases for work orders, equipment records, and repair requests.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and recommend procedure or equipment improvements.
• Report unsafe conditions and defective materials while following facility safety and export-control procedures.

Requirements

• Associate degree, trade school, HVAC certification, Electrical Journeyman-level qualification, or equivalent experience.
• 6–8 years of relevant electrical, mechanical, quality, and safety experience; manufacturing facility experience is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of low- and high-voltage electrical plant systems, HVAC, plant air systems, and facility equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics, operate advanced test equipment, troubleshoot complex problems, and use computer systems.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift heavy materials regularly, plan and complete projects, and train others.
• Access to ITAR-controlled products and technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.
