Application Engineer, Robotics

Location: Denton, Texas, USA; greater than 50% travel to integrator and customer sites, often requiring overnight stays

What you will do

• Support system integrators through sales, product selection, configuration, installation, commissioning, demonstrations, FATs, and SATs.
• Install, commission, validate, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair robotic welding systems at customer and integrator sites.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support for mechanical, electrical, software, and application issues.
• Deliver technical, operator, and maintenance training for integrator and customer personnel.
• Partner with sales on customer visits, needs assessments, solution reviews, demonstrations, and key account opportunities.
• Share field feedback, support product introductions and testing, maintain technical documentation, and assist with quality and military approval activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, or related Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical field role involving robotic systems, welding equipment, or industrial automation.
• Working knowledge of welding processes such as GMAW and GTAW.
• Familiarity with robotics programming, control systems, and basic electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and independent working skills.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to meet the physical demands of field work, including handling equipment and wearing PPE.

Nice to have

• Experience with channel partners, dealers, or system integrators.
• PLC programming or broader industrial automation experience.
• Welding certification or hands-on welding experience.
• Multilingual skills.
