Manufacturing Engineer - Seating (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead the identification, prioritization, and implementation of continuous improvement projects in the manufacturing department.
• Develop and deploy lean manufacturing strategies, including standardized work, kaizen, problem-solving, 5S, value stream mapping, process flow, heijunka, jidoka, and total productive maintenance.
• Review scrap products, process failures, and customer claims to identify corrective actions.
• Implement process improvements and engineering change notices in collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Development.
• Support product launches, post-launch activities, cost reduction initiatives, and program financial targets.
• Contribute to design-for-manufacturability activities and develop processes that maximize production throughput.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and translate findings into actionable solutions.
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and balance multiple projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of assembly processes is advantageous.
• Experience with coding or analytics automation platforms, including Microsoft Access, Alteryx, or Ignition, is advantageous.
