Staff Visual Product Designer (Design Systems)

Location: Remote U.S.

Salary: $236,000–$278,000 cash range, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and evolve hirify.global’s visual design language across product surfaces.
• Set standards for typography, color, layout, iconography, illustration, motion, data visualization, and interaction details.
• Own foundational design system elements, including design tokens, component states, responsive behavior, theming, density, and platform adaptations.
• Design and prototype reusable system components and end-to-end experiences for complex security and compliance workflows.
• Partner with product designers, engineers, researchers, content designers, and brand teams to translate customer and business needs into scalable solutions.
• Establish review practices, facilitate critiques and workshops, mentor designers, and measure design system impact.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing digital products, including significant visual product design experience in complex B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
• Deep expertise in visual design, design systems, design tokens, component architecture, responsive design, accessibility, and data visualization.
• A portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, systems thinking, and improvements at both component and end-to-end workflow levels.
• Strong product thinking, communication, storytelling, facilitation, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, GRC, IT, infrastructure, financial services, or another complex regulated domain.
• Experience with Figma and familiarity with front-end technologies or design system implementation workflows.
• Experience applying AI responsibly to improve design efficiency and impact.
