TL;DR
Electrical Design Draftsperson (Power Generation): Preparing electrical drawings, technical documentation, and design deliverables for EPC power generation and energy infrastructure projects with an accent on single-line diagrams, control schematics, cable schedules, and document control. Focus on coordinating drafting deliverables, supporting procurement and commissioning, and solving design issues with engineers, suppliers, clients, and project teams.
Location: Thebarton, South Australia; candidates must be located in South Australia and hold Australian work authorisation

What you will do
- Prepare electrical design plans, layouts, drawings, material lists, and technical documentation for EPC projects and tenders.
- Produce single-line diagrams, control schematics, cable schedules, block diagrams, system architecture drawings, and termination diagrams.
- Coordinate drafting deliverables, maintain drawing registers and files, and follow document-control processes.
- Work with engineers, project teams, suppliers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors during design and project execution.
- Support procurement, equipment selection, supplier evaluation, commissioning, factory inspections, and acceptance testing.
- Provide technical support, progress reporting, design problem-solving, and continuous improvement across engineering systems.
Requirements
- Experience in electrical drafting and design within power generation, industrial, mining, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings, documentation standards, technical reports, and document control.
- Strong communication, organisation, initiative, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to work collaboratively and with minimal supervision.
- Valid Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application; a pre-employment medical assessment and national police check are required.
