Field Operations Engineer (Water Treatment)

Location: Customer site in Corona, California, USA

Annual salary: $90,000–$130,000, commensurate with accomplishments, performance, credentials, and geography.

What you will do

• Lead field engineering and the operation and management of water treatment systems at the customer site.
• Lead and coordinate operators and field technicians, including daily and weekly preparation for scheduled work.
• Commission and start up new systems in accordance with technical and project specifications.
• Inspect delivered equipment, document issues, and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
• Coordinate customers, contractors, vendors, and onsite operations while providing daily progress and site-condition reports.
• Maintain onsite safety compliance, prepare Job Hazard Analyses, conduct Management of Change reviews, and support 24/7 operational planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, or equivalent industry experience or certifications.
• 3–5 years of commissioning and start-up experience on large capital projects is preferred.
• Experience with industrial piping systems, water treatment equipment, or distillation equipment is preferred.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office software.
• Strong time management, organizational, technical communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to the site; ability to work in confined spaces, varying temperatures, and lift 20–50 pounds.
