Laboratory Technician (M-F 12pm-8:30pm) - Eurofins Environment Testing Northeast - Edison, NJ

Location: Edison, New Jersey, USA; onsite Monday–Friday, 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Edison, NJ.

Compensation: $17.50–$18.37 per hour, plus a 5% shift differential.

What you will do

• Retrieve, label, prepare, and organize samples for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare water and soil samples for metals analysis, including reagent preparation, concentration, separation, sonication, and acid digestion.
• Learn and use the laboratory information management system and mercury analysis procedures.
• Record analysis results, track samples, and maintain laboratory paperwork and logbooks.
• Wash glassware, stock supplies, maintain equipment and work areas, and support other laboratory sections.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge of chemistry or science and basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow written and verbal instructions, multitask, and meet time and quality constraints.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle coolers packed with ice.
• Professional working proficiency in English is required.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• High school chemistry coursework.
• Basic laboratory experience.
• Previous production-oriented work experience.
