Staff Environmental Scientist/Engineer

Location: Onsite/in-office in Santa Ana, California, with a hybrid work arrangement available

Annual salary: $71,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Support environmental projects under the direction of Project Managers and Principals.
• Conduct fieldwork at client sites, collect data, and assist with research and analysis.
• Prepare permit applications, environmental guidance documents, compliance plans, and periodic reports.
• Help develop, implement, and maintain environmental management strategies and procedures.
• Track project budgets and hours while completing assignments within deadlines.
• Collaborate with project teams, peers, senior staff, and clients, while following safety and OSHA requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering, preferably civil, environmental, or chemical engineering.
• 0–2 years of environmental compliance experience with industrial, municipal, and/or federal clients.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company standards.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, PDF editors, and Google Earth.
• Strong oral and written communication, time management, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding fieldwork across large project areas, varied terrain, and potentially inclement weather; local travel may be required.
