Software Engineer II (AI)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design, implementation, and delivery of core product features.
• Integrate generative AI tools and autonomous coding agents into development, testing, refactoring, and prototyping workflows.
• Write clean, resilient, performant code using enterprise design patterns.
• Contribute to microservice and database architecture, including scalability, caching, and distributed performance.
• Identify dependencies and roadblocks while coordinating with product managers and engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and coaching.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience in an agile environment.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node, and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI coding tools and agents, including Copilot, Cursor, or LLM APIs.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, query optimization, and Redis caching.
• Experience designing RESTful or GraphQL APIs and working with distributed or microservice architectures.
• Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating GenAI or LLM APIs into user-facing applications.
• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in biotech, genomics, or precision medicine.
