Engineering Intern (Summer 2027) (AI)

Location: San Francisco, SOMA; must be commutable to the office and available to work in person. In-office attendance is expected 3–4 days per week, with required attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Salary: $25–$50 per hour, depending on skills, experience, location, and education.

What you will do

• Build and test features for web and mobile products alongside senior engineers.
• Design small AI-powered automation systems that remove repeatable work.
• Write clean, efficient production code and own debugging and troubleshooting.
• Partner with data analysts to interpret usage data and inform AI applications across the product.
• Iterate quickly on projects using AI-assisted development and feedback from senior engineers.
• Learn new languages, frameworks, and AI-native development practices as needed.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field, graduating between 2027 and 2028.
• Coursework or project experience in software engineering and experience building with AI.
• Proficiency in one or more of JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, or Kotlin through real project work.
• Ability to learn new frameworks and tools quickly; exposure to React, Postgres, SQL, or gRPC is useful.
• Strong problem-solving skills, independent work habits, and ability to collaborate with teammates.
• Available to work in person from the San Francisco office in SOMA.
