Process Engineer Team Lead (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: McIntosh, Alabama, United States; onsite at a chemical manufacturing facility

hirify.global’s Advanced Materials division operates the McIntosh chemical manufacturing site.

What you will do

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process reliability, efficiency, safety, and product quality.
• Provide process engineering support for production units and site utilities, including thermal oxidizer and refrigeration systems.
• Track OEE, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce downtime, scrap, and recurring issues.
• Support new product introductions through MOCs, PHAs, PSSRs, SOP development, operator training, and startup activities.
• Support automation initiatives involving SIS, alarm management, and batch control systems, as well as engineering studies and incident investigations.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop Process Engineers while collaborating with Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Project Engineering, and external vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of process or production engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, process optimization, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of SPC, process performance monitoring, project implementation, financial and operational analysis, and technical communication.
• Knowledge of PSM, OSHA, EPA regulations, and EHS requirements.
• Unrestricted right to work for hirify.global in the United States is required. Regular presence in operating units and process areas, PPE, and compliance with site safety standards are required.

Nice to have

• Supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience with OEE, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, SAP, LIMS, PI Systems, or industrial process control systems.
• Experience leading PHAs, MOC, PSSR activities, capital projects, ROI development, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience with thermal oxidizers, refrigeration systems, or similar industrial utilities.
