Senior Technical Program Manager for Core Engineering

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid on-site with up to 10% travel. U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Lead requirement intake and refinement, translating product intent into scoped, testable engineering requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain traceability from initiatives through epics, stories, and definitions of done.
• Manage scope, change control, Jira status, blocked initiatives, and workflow governance.
• Run Core Engineering sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Coordinate dependencies across Core, Systems, Solutions, and Release Engineering.
• Prepare concise technical briefs and status reports for relevant audiences.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical program or project management experience with software engineering teams.
• Advanced experience with requirements intake, refinement, traceability, and change control on complex programs.
• Strong Jira expertise, including dashboards, workflows, custom reports, fields, labels, and components.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to turn strategic vision into executable plans.
• Experience establishing and driving adoption of process frameworks or operating models from scratch.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required; export-control eligibility must also be met.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense technology, aerospace, robotics, or another regulated and mission-critical domain.
• SAFe, Scrum Alliance, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Background in product management, change management, or process improvement.
• Experience working in a highly technical, AI-forward environment.
