Registered Nurse, Supervisor (RN)

Location: Onsite health center in San Antonio, Texas, United States. Monday–Friday rotating hours: 7:00am–3:30pm, 8:30am–5:00pm, or 8:00am–4:30pm.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Site Medical Leader and provide leadership to health center staff.
• Recruit, interview, train, assess, and support the performance development of staff members.
• Manage clinic schedules and oversee nursing care for all patients.
• Provide direct patient care for less than 30% of working time and respond to emergency situations within the legal scope of practice.
• Maintain clinical records, supplies, medications, equipment, infection control, patient privacy, and a clean and safe environment.
• Support quality improvement and risk management, investigate complaints, coordinate with clients and operational leaders, and help develop health center policies and services.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate’s degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current hands-on AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on the contract scope.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.

Nice to have

• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
