Actuarial Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: Remote anywhere in the Continental United States; team-specific scheduling preferences may apply.

Salary: $56,200.00–$101,000.00 per year

What you will do

• Develop and analyze financial and statistical reports on the quality, cost, and effectiveness of healthcare services.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts and analyze financial results against expectations.
• Support financial analysis, pricing, and risk assessment to estimate outcomes.
• Apply mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to calculate financial outcomes.
• Develop probability tables and analyze premium rates, cash reserves, liabilities, and insurance benefit distributions.
• Participate in merger and acquisition analysis; responsibilities may vary by actuarial team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years of actuarial experience.
• At least one passed actuarial exam is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience with Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, indexing, and data analysis, is preferred.
• Experience with VBA, SQL, SAS, Python, or R is preferred.
