Senior Environmental Professional (Air Quality)

Location: Remote within the USA, focused on California air permitting and compliance

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location

What you will do

• Lead multiple California air permitting and reporting projects as a senior technical lead.
• Manage air permitting, emission inventories, GHG management, compliance programs, audits, and regulatory strategies.
• Supervise junior staff, professionals, and technicians while assigning, reviewing, and guiding technical work.
• Prepare and oversee technical reports, assessments, data interpretation, and graphical presentations.
• Consult with clients to develop plans, reports, and environmental assessments.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing needs, proposals, and client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in science or engineering, or at least 10 years of direct experience; alternatively, an Associate of Science degree or at least 15 years of direct experience.
• Direct experience in California air quality permitting.
• Experience with project, client, and program management.
• Ability to independently evaluate and adapt technical methods, procedures, and criteria.
• Ability to manage project budgets and schedules and communicate delivery risks to leadership.

Nice to have

• Agency Permitting Professional certification, such as SCAQMD Certified Permitting Professional (CPP).
